Council Bluffs Parks and Recreation offers a recreational youth basketball league for kids in kindergarten through third grade. The league offers modified rules to help players learn the fundamental skills of basketball and make the league more enjoyable for kids.
Kindergarten and first grade will play five-on-five with seven-foot hoops. Second grade and third grade will play five-on-five with nine-foot hoops. A girls division and boys division are offered in each age groups. If a co-ed team is desired, they may play in the boys or girls divisions.
The youth basketball season is six weeks long with games played on Saturdays in January and February. All games are played at the Wilson Middle School and Boys and Girls Club.
Registration is open from September 23 until December 6, 2019. After December 6th, players will be put on a waiting list until space is available. Any player dropping from the league before the first game will be given a refund, minus a $10 administration fee. No refunds will be given after the first game The youth basketball registration fee is $40, or $35 if you already have a T-Shirt from last year.
