The Omaha-Council Bluffs metro was ranked #6 for medium communities, specifically recognizing Council Bluffs projects such as Pottawattamie Arts / Culture / Entertainment, Polina and Bob Schlott Performing Arts Center, and Harvester Artspace Lofts. When ranking the metropolitan areas, the National Center for Arts Research measured art provides (independent artists, arts and culture employees, arts and culture organizations, entertainment firms), art dollars (program revenue, contributed revenue, total expenses, total compensation), and government support (state/ federal arts dollars, state/ federal arts grants).
