Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park

Tom Hanafan River’s Edge Park is located in Council Bluffs, Iowa along the Missouri River at the foot of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, directly across from downtown Omaha. 

Tom Hanafan Park encourages public use and preserves key habitats. The five-acre great lawn, amphitheater, and open landscape can accommodate significant festivals and events while providing a dramatic view of the Omaha skyline. 

Tom Hanafan Park is situated along the Council Bluffs trail system.  Council Bluffs is home to a robust trail system with more than 40 miles of recreational trails used by walkers, runners, and cyclists. Trails connect to the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge at River's Edge and wind through the city to the east side of Council Bluffs.
