Girls Fast-pitch Softball – June 1, 2020
Tee ball – June 1, 2020
Machine Pitch – June 1, 2020
Youth Tennis Camp – June 9, 2020
Registration deadlines remain the same.
No practices to be held while Council Bluffs Schools are closed.
We will do everything possible to keep the duration of the season the same and not shorten the season or remove games. With that said, some sports may run until the later summer months. If you would like a refund, please contact the Parks and Recreation office at 712-890-5291.

City of Council Bluffs received a Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) grant from the State of Iowa in the amount of $176,077 to establish a Pollinator Habitat Corridor. We anticipate work to begin Summer 2020.
Trail Condition Assessment results are in and eighty-two percent (82%) of our trail system is in either a good or excellent condition.
Fall Color Corridor is designed.
AVOID USING THE COUNCIL BLUFFS RECREATION COMPLEX AS A TRAILHEAD. The Council Bluffs Recreation Complex, located at 2900 Richard Downing Avenue, adjoins the Council Bluffs Trails system. For security reasons, the Complex’s parking lots are locked when games are not underway. Trail users who park at the Complex run the risk of returning to find their car locked in.
- BIG LAKE PARK. The north side of the park is closed for the season.
- TOM HANAFAN PARK Is open.
- LEVEE TRAIL - N 28th Street to Avenue G is closed until further notice. Damage to the storm water system in the area has resulted in this trail segment being closed.
