Recyclables Accepted Free of Charge

Council Bluffs Recycling Center accepts numerous items free of charge including paper, plastics #1-#5, cardboard, and metals. Specifics include:

• Colored paper, office paper, junk mail, magazines, newspaper, books, telephone books, etc.
• Plastic containers, laundry detergent containers, milk jugs, pop and water bottles, shampoo bottles, etc.
• Corrugated brown boxes, cereal boxes, etc.
• Non-ferrous (pop cans), ferrous (tin cans & angle iron), steel pipe, etc.
