On May 5, 2003, Ordinance 5760 of the Council Bluffs City Code, Alarm Systems, was adopted. Chapter 3.12 established business and residential alarm code requirements within the Council Bluffs City limits.
The ordinance requires business and residential alarm users to register their systems with the City of Council Bluffs by paying a $25.00 annual registration fee. Users may register their alarm system by completing and submitting the form below with payment.

If false alarms are incurred, an excessive false alarm fee will be assessed during each registration period. Each alarm user will receive one "free" false alarm response per year. A fee of $100.00 will be assessed for the 2nd false alarm and a fee of $250.00 will be assessed for the 3rd false alarm and for each false alarm thereafter. Users may appeal the false alarm fee(s) by completing and submitting the form below.
In addition, late fees and dues for non-compliance from alarm principal and alarm businesses may be assessed.
