City Clerk

Overview 

The City Clerk reports directly to the City Council, attends City Council meetings and all Council proceedings and prepares agendas and minutes. The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining resolutions, ordinances, and public hearing notices as required by law. The office is also responsible for maintaining and updating the City’s Municipal Code and retains contracts as a permanent record for the City of Council Bluffs. The City Clerk provides free notary services to the public, serves as the Civil Service Commission secretary, and is responsible for civil service testing. This office also handles the bid openings for city projects.
