Community Development Advisory Committee
Overview

The Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) is comprised of five members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council.  Each committee member serves a voluntary four year term without compensation. One of primary functions of this committee is to formulate recommendations to the City Council regarding various community development projects and programs.

CDAC also serves as a forum for receiving public comments and providing information to the public on the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the City’s Community Development Programs, in particular the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the HOME Investment Partnerships Programs. Furthermore, CDAC is intended to provide broad-based community involvement and assures that those groups within the community, which may be most directly affected by various community development programs, are represented in its process.
