MemorialRoles & Responsibilities
The unit is comprised of 12 officers and supervisors from various departments. The Council Bluffs Police Honor Guard detail is responsible for representing the Police Department at a variety of ceremonial events, including Police Officer Memorials, Award Ceremonies, and government activities requiring the "presentation and posting of colors."

Upon request of the family, members of the Honor Guard may serve as pallbearers for department personnel who died while actively employed or who have retired from the Police Department. The Council Bluffs Police Honor Guard unit joins other Honor Guard units for specific official ceremonies.

The members of the Honor Guard are proud to represent the Council Bluffs Police Department.
