Tires & Automotive Products

The Recycling Center strives to recycle as many materials as possible, however, some items have a small fee attached to them.

Residents and businesses can dispose of an unlimited number of tires at a charge of $.08 per pound with or without rims. The average car tire is 14-inches and costs about $1.60 to recycle without a rim. Other types of tires (tractor, etc.) are also accepted at the same charge. If Recycling Center Staff has to stack the tires, the charge increases to $.16 per pound.

Other automotive materials, such as used oil and oil filters, anti-freeze and windshield washer fluid, may be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste Regional Collection Center.
