Hepatitis C testing is available for those who qualify under Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines as those who are at highest risk for getting the disease. The testing for Hepatitis C is free. Vaccination to protect against both Hepatitis A & B is also available to those persons meeting the Iowa Department of Public Health's definition of a person at highest risk and to those person's, with no insurance. Anyone who has tested positive for Hepatitis C qualifies for free hepatitis A/B vaccines. Contact the Public Health Nursing Division to see if you qualify.
